Arizona State Credit Union Hosts Second Flagstaff Shred Event

Community members are invited to shred sensitive documents

PHOENIX, Ariz. – Arizona State Credit Union begins the second half of its 2014 Shred-a-Thon tour with Flagstaff community members having the second and final opportunity to shred sensitive documents free of charge.

Northern Arizona community members are encouraged to bring their sensitive documents to the Credit Union’s East Flagstaff branch on Tuesday, August 12, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.  The event is free to the public, and is held to awareness about the importance of shredding sensitive documents to protect against identity theft.

“We are pleased to see such a strong turnout from the community for our shred events,” said David E. Doss, President/CEO of Arizona State Credit Union. “While the August event will conclude Shred-a-Thons in the Flagstaff community for the year, we are proud to provide this service annually to help residents protect their personal information.”

During the Credit Union’s most recent shred event in Flagstaff, residents brought over 5,100 pounds of sensitive documents to be shredded and recycled.

Documents to bring to the Shred-a-Thons include bank statements, tax returns, medical bills, credit card statements and other personal documents.

Shred-A-Thons will be hosted at northern Arizona State Credit Union branches from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The events are open to all members of the community, with a limit of five boxes per person. Below is a complete list of remaining branch locations and dates:
