Donations to be accepted at OneAZ Credit Union branch locations through Sept. 30
PHOENIX – (Sept. 7, 2017) – To support the American Red Cross’s Hurricane Harvey relief efforts, OneAZ Credit Union’s Community Foundation is collecting donations and has pledged to match collected contributions up to a total of $10,000. The Credit Union will be accepting donations at any of its 22 branch locations across the state through Sept. 30.
“The scenes of devastation throughout the Gulf Coast are disheartening, and our thoughts and prayers are with the thousands of residents who are working to rebuild their lives and communities,” said David E. Doss, CEO/President of OneAZ Credit Union. “We hope these donations will help the American Red Cross, which has become a beacon of hope in times of disaster, deliver much needed relief and critical assistance to those whose lives have been devastated by Hurricane Harvey.”
Money being donated to the American Red Cross is being directed toward sheltering and feeding those who are still under evacuation, as well as those who continue to be rescued from their homes. With more than 2,000 Red Cross workers helping on the ground, the organization has been providing around-the-clock aid to thousands of survivors, which includes offering more than 250,000 meals and snacks served with partners, and providing shelter supplies for more than 70,000 people.
