Courtesy Pay Disclosures for OneAZ

What you Need to Know about Overdrafts and Overdraft Fees at OneAZ

An overdraft occurs when you do not have enough money* in your account balance to pay a transaction, but we (OneAZ) pay it anyway. We may pay your overdrafts in three (3) different ways:

  1. We may configure an Overdraft Source, such as a link to a qualified deposit or loan product, which may be less expensive than our Standard and Additional Courtesy Pay services.
  2. We have Standard Overdraft Courtesy Pay that comes with your checking account(s) at account opening and authorizes us to pay payments such as written checks, ACH, and recurring debit card transactions.
  3. We have Additional Overdraft Courtesy Pay that you must opt into which authorizes us to pay ATM and one-time debit card transactions.

*We determine whether you have enough money in your account for the purpose of assessing overdraft fees based on your available balance. Please review the Overdraft Balance Calculation section of the Consumer or Business Member Agreement and Disclosure which is provided at account opening and available by contacting us at 844.663.2928. The Funds Availability section within this agreement also provides the full disclosure on availability of funds.

This notice explains our Courtesy Pay practices:

  1. What is the Standard Overdraft Courtesy Pay service that comes with my OneAZ checking account?

We may pay written checks, ACH, recurring debit card transactions, and other transactions made using your checking account number. We pay overdrafts at our discretion, which means we do not guarantee that we will always authorize and pay any type of transaction. If we do not authorize and pay an overdraft, your transaction will be declined, and merchant fees may apply. It's important to note we do not authorize and pay overdrafts for ATM and one-time debit card transactions unless you opt into Additional Overdraft Courtesy Pay.
  2. What fees will I be charged when OneAZ pays my overdrafts?

We may charge you a fee of $29.00 each time we pay a written check, recurring debit card payment, and other transactions made using your checking account number that causes an overdraft.

If you opt into Additional Overdraft Courtesy Pay for ATM and one-time debit card transactions, we may charge you a fee of $29.00 each time we pay a debit card transaction that causes an overdraft. It's important to note that there is no limit to the total fees we may assess you for overdrawing your account. Should a single item be presented for payment multiple times, multiple fees may be assessed.
