Let OneAZ help you unlock the door to homeownership. Eligible first-time homebuyers can qualify for down payment assistance at OneAZ through the Workforce Initiative Subsidy for Homeownership (WISH) Grant Program or through the Middle-Income Downpayment Assistance (MDPA) Grant Program.

To be eligible for WISH Down Payment Assistance, homebuyers must:

  • Have successfully completed a homebuyer counseling program.
  • Be a first-time homebuyer, as defined by Federal Home Loan Bank (FHLBank) in its AHP Implementation Plan.
  • Meet income eligibility guidelines, as published by FHLBank at the time of enrollment in the WISH Program and be at or below 80% of the HUD Area Median Income (AMI).
  • Contribute $1 for every $4 received, which may come from savings or gifted funds.
  • Other requirements and conditions may apply.

Middle-Income Down Payment Assistance Program (MDPA) Get up to $50,0002 toward your first home!

First-time homebuyers may be eligible for up to $50,000 in down payment assistance through the MDPA Grant Program. If you meet eligibility requirements and provide a minimum of $10,000 towards the down payment for the purchase of a home, you can receive up to $50,000 in funds.

To be eligible for MDPA Grant Program funding assistance, homebuyers must:

  • Have successfully completed a homebuyer counseling program.
  • Be a first-time homebuyer, as defined by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
  • Meet income eligibility guidelines, as published by the FHLBank at the time of enrollment; income eligibility requirements will at minimum require the homebuyer household to have earnings between 80.01% and 140% of the HUD defined Area Median Income (AMI) based on purchase property address and adjusted for household size.
  • Make a minimum contribution of $10,000, which may come from savings or gifted funds
  • Schedule closing within 60 days of submitting the application.
  • Other requirements and conditions may apply.
